HealthStream is an online learning management system designed to give each staff person within Patient Care Services the ability to manage their own learning environment. HealthStream is a web-based application that can be accessed 24/7 from any computer with internet access. The system is used for mandatory education such as those courses required by hospital licensure or accreditation, or unit-based orientation, the roll-out of hospital initiatives, and other courses determined to be necessary for the safe and effective care of patients and their families. HealthStream offers hundreds of courses that can be taken electively to either attain or maintain knowledge, skills and abilities specific to a particular topic or personal/professional interest.
