PCS Orientation

Building upon the information presented in New Employee Orientation (NEO), the Patient Care Services (PCS) orientation is the gateway to becoming an active member in the patient-family centered care delivery model.

PCS orientation lays a foundation from which each employee is encouraged to perform to their fullest potential. Being built on a spirit of inquiry, PCS is a culture, which focuses on providing excellence in care and service to the patient and family. During PCS Orientation the new employee is introduced to the nursing provider team, which includes the professional registered nurse, unlicensed assistive personnel and support service staff. Each of the clinical nursing units are governed by a Nursing Director who is supported by a Clinical Nurse Specialist and many other members who provide direct care or support services to the patient and family.

New employees are introduced to Patient Care Services, clinical resources and Departments and services supporting clinical care.

PCS is where the collaborative relationship of a multidisciplinary team begins.
