Research Infrastructure Clinical Nurse Specialists Research Task Force (CNSRTF) is a self-selected group of clinical nurse specialists who meet monthly to develop initiatives to foster individual and group research projects promoting organizational goals and advancing the role of the CNS through evidence-based care. Over the years, the group has worked to develop research and related scholarly publications and has presented numerous papers and posters internationally. The Doctoral Forum is designed tosupport the growth of nurse scientists, by expanding nursing knowledge about research through dialogue and presentations. The Forum seeks to create a professional community of nurse scholars to help advance individual programs of research, share ideas and provide support and guidance for nurse scientists. Nurses with their earned doctorates, faculty nurse scientists appointed to the Center, and nurses enrolled in a doctoral program are members of this community of scholars. The Research and Evidence-Based Practice Committee is an interdisciplinary committee within the framework of Collaborative Governance to advance multidisciplinary research throughout the MGH community. The REBP exists under the MGH Patient Care Services’ structure of Collaborative Governance, and its focus is dissemination of new knowledge derived from clinical research and support of clinicians in the implementation of evidence-based practice. The Yvonne L. Munn Center for Nursing Research works collaboratively the librarians in the Treadwell Library to facilitate and promote research and evidence-based practice initiatives, as well as scholarship of staff nurses.
