The Connell Nursing Research Scholars program (CNRS) is seeking applications to advance interdisciplinary patient/family care at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) through nursing research. Participation in the CNRS program offers each scholar the time and active mentoring needed to generate and extend knowledge and advance interdisciplinary health care. Ultimately, having time devoted to the conduct of research and clinical investigation will enable each scholar the ability to secure external funding that will advance health care at the MGH and beyond. CNRS applications are designed to blend each scholar’s research interests and expertise with the strategic priorities of patient care services and the MGH organizational mission. Priorities include:
APPLICATION DEADLINE: All applications will be reviewed by the CNRS Advisory Board and announced in late spring of 2013. The CNRS program scholars (Year 2 cohort) will begin their research in June. These scholars will be advised by CNRS faculty and a mentor. The Program Advisor/Mentor is a seasoned and well-published research scholar with experience in leading research initiatives and funded projects. Both the CNRS faculty advisor, along with the scholar’s project advisor/mentor, will assist each scholar in the development of a research plan to access funding and promote scholarship.
