Blake 8 is an 18 bed intensive care unit. Patients on this unit have undergone a surgical procedure for the treatment of coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, aortic disease, congenital heart disease, lethal arrhythmias, sudden death experiences and end stage heart disease requiring cardiac transplantation or insertion of a ventricular assist device.
