About Patient Care Services

MGH Aspire

Aspire is dedicated to providing children, teens, and adults with a high cognitive autism spectrum disorder or related social profile, with the knowledge and skills necessary to make social connections and develop independence leading to successful and fulfilling lives.  Aspire services are designed to meet the various developmental needs and stages of our participants by applying the Three Ss: Social competency, Self-awareness and Stress management.  The integration of these "3Ss" across all programs makes Aspire unique.

Child Programs
Aspire’s Child Services offer a safe and caring environment in which children with ASD and related social profiles can grow and develop social connections. Aspire’s groups are designed to engage children in purposeful group play, problem-solving, and experience-sharing with the goal of developing generalizable skills across settings. .

Teen Programs Aspire's Teen Services offer supportive groups and programs for teens with ASD and related social challenges. Programs are designed to meet the adolescent’s need to be part of a group and reduce feelings of isolation while exploring independent living skills. These skills include riding public transportation, money management, organization and planning, college exploration and community participation.

Adult Programs
Aspire’s Adult Services offer supportive groups and programs for adults with ASD and related social challenges. Programs are designed to meet the adult need for meaningful work opportunities and relationships. Participants have the opportunity to learn skills for living independently, navigating college, engaging successfully in a workplace, enhancing peer relationships, dating, and more.
